I have never really followed Star Wars that closely, l do know amd I do remember it was a ground breaking film when first released. Basically it was a 'Space Opera' with a bit of mysticism- the Force thrown in. An adventure story set in an imaginary universe, given the special effects it was a recipe for instant and mega success. As Disney has found out don't change the formula - remember when Coke tried that, it may be full of sugar, rot yer teeth but people loved it - leave it alone.

the problem with them desanitizing sith is just, they dont understand sith in general. they dont understand the master and apprentice relationship, the later HAS to kill the former, or the former HAS to kill the later, if they find a better suited candidate. ofc there are exceptions to this, but still in general this is evil. ofc jedi aint pure good, i would say that is a given, but they try to their best to remain good and not in that wishy washy way this show portraits. for example luke embracing the rage to overpower vader or obi wan while fighting maul. it is possible to make a show featuring the dark side, show a sith with empathy, but at the end of the day, he or she will and should be a bad guy. not a missunderstood force user. also remember, red lightsaber means "bleeding a kyber crystal", pouring in emotions such a rage, hate, fear and pain, clearly something that a good person would do right ?

I am old enough to remember when John Byrne put out the first of She Hulk comics. Art work was amazing. Wanted to like it.. but it just sucked. Tried to be funny and breaking 4th wall lime Dead Pool. But just sucked. Why base a series, on a failed comic character. Show was doomed at the start.

I stopped watching after episode 3, however I did watch ep 5 but fast forwarded through the horrible dialogue and just watched the duel scenes. Headlands wife, the Mrs Shrek character, is a terrible actress and the way she portrays her green character makes her completely unlikeable. This is a 💩show of a series

Dude i love the fact your reminding people that this wanna be director is Harvey Weinsteins former PA. 1) a PA literally controls the day by day, hour by hour lives, appointments and arguments of there boss. Which means she KNEW what was going on and helped cover it up. 2) I followed the #metoo very closely and i dont remember her coming forward to report on her boss. 3) this means she was complicate. 4) she suddenly after zero experience gets highly paid director roles and aloud to go karblanch. It is not hard to see Harvey slim paid her off by calling in a favour or just bribed Bob twat as he probably had partys with him. Can we just... not bring the real world into fiction? The whole point in watching something like Star Wars is because it is not the real world. It's a completely different galaxy in a completely different time period, what does our current earthly stuff have to do with any of that? In that setting, in that world, I don't see sexuality, gender or any of our current political issues matter at all, they have different things to think about. I don't understand why that is so hard to understand. I wanna see what kind of things they need to overcome and deal with in their world, not ours. You can draw some parallels, sure, but not directly make our situation theirs.

They have really trashed Star Wars on so many levels. Totally “devalued Star Wars “ as you say. Good vs Evil is the Star War story… Without that they’ve only got so many shades of grey… How lame.

You are confused. Of course you can make good Star Wars content that questions the Jedi, the Sith, and looks to blur the lines between what is "good" and "evil". Play the Kotor games. This show isn't subpar because of its ideas. The problem with this show is the execution. It doesn't make sense that the characters in the show would behave how they are behaving based on the shows own portrayal of these characters. They are trying to make a sympathetic villain, having already depicted him in an unsympathetic light. This is why the show is bad, (same reason why almost all Star Wars movies are rubbish, and same reason why Andor is good, it's the execution and writing, not the ideas).

It's not so much about Rachel's or Amandla's skin colour as much as their insulting attitude about it.

Tatiana Maslany is an extremely skilled actress. The She-Hulk show was a un my opinion a pile of manure. If she had just said, hey folks there was an idea for the show and we thought it would work but it didn't. The character is still good and I think people should give it another chance. If that was said instead of the garbage about how people loved it except for the biased jerks, then I would not be opposed to the continuation of the character. As it stands now I don't see how it can fit in anywhere
